4. Curation — from raw documents to governed knowledge#

Documents are the raw tier: searchable immediately, cited in answers. Curation promotes a document into a concept — the governed tier:

  1. Click Curate → on an indexed document. The LLM drafts a concept.
  2. Concepts move through draft → reviewed → authoritative on the Review tab.
  3. A document's groups follow it onto the concept automatically, and later group changes propagate — visibility stays consistent between tiers.

The pipeline funnel on Overview/Insights shows this flow at a glance.

Source-quality notes: curation also proofreads — spelling/consistency issues it notices land as a muted "N quality notes" pill on the document (hover for examples) and an admin rollup on Insights. Notes refresh only when you curate; fix the source, let it re-sync, re-curate, and they clear. The brain never edits your content — it only reports.
